Windex sold in metal cans!

Cleaning fun fact about Windex: It was invented in 1933 by Harry R. Drackett, it was almost 100% solvent and highly flammable, and had to be sold in metal cans. The formula evolved over the years allowing it to be packaged in glass bottles and used in plastic spray bottles. It’s popularity led to the use of its trademarked name for all similar glass cleaning products.

How to make your own glass cleaning solution—there are many recipes for homemade window cleaner out there, but we like using water, a teaspoon or two of dish soap and a little vinegar to help prevent streaks.
