Carpet spot cleaning tip -Removing wax from carpet

Has a rogue candle dripped onto your carpet? Do not despair. Take a white (must be white so as not to potentially transfer color to the carpet) terry cloth rag and lay it over the wax. Heat up your iron and run it over the white terry towel.  Now that the wax has softened, scrape off the majority with a butter knife.  Now, lay a white paper towel over the area and iron the paper towel.  As you do, the remaining wax will be absorbed by the paper towel.  Take care to not iron more than 20-30 seconds at a time so as not to burn the carpet fibers. Repeat with another paper towel as needed until the wax has been removed.
